December already. I can’t believe how quickly this year has flown by. It seems like it was just the beginning of 2007 and we were hearing about that we would be expecting our first child. Now he’s 10 weeks old and it’s time to see what 2008 has in store. This makes me think about a verse from the Bible: James 4:4 “Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away” (NASB). How true that is. Life can seem to creep by at such a slow pace, but the truth is it is just a vapor compared to the big picture. Is the vapor unimportant? Not at all. Though our lives, compared to eternity, may not be much, they were enough for the Creator of all things to take the time to intervene and help us with the most minute problems that we have. I guess that today’s thought is really about perception. Keep things in the proper perspective.
